!
Sir,
I have the honour to inform you that Er. M. McIver, Chief Inspector of Junks and Cargo Boats, in the Harbour Office, from January, 1913, until March, 1914, performed the duties of Second Boarding Officer in addition to his own duties, with the result that he had to work as a rule from early in the morning
until dark.
2.
lio record has been kept of the actual amount of overtime performed by Mr. McIver, but I am satisfied that it
was considerable, and that he should receive some remuneration for the extra work performed by him. I find that a sum of £59, being the half-salary of the Master of the Steam Tender "Stanley" from the 21st. May to the 18th. November last, lapsed to the Treasury. and I recommend that in respect of his work as Second Boarding
Officer Mr. Molver should be paid a bonus of £500.
I have the honour to be,
Sir,
Your most obedient,
humble servant,
Boning
Governor,&c..
